The Selva Cardigan is a timeless, oversized and cozy cardigan with a modern silhouette. It is worked from the top down and held double throughout, giving it a particularly soft texture.
The back is worked first and shaped using German short rows to create a comfortable fit across the neckline.
Next, the shoulders and front sections are worked and then joined to the back, allowing the body to be continued in one piece.
The entire cardigan is worked flat in stockinette stitch, while the hems are worked in a 1x1 rib pattern. To finish, stitches are picked up along the front edges to create button bands with integrated buttonholes. The neckband is also worked in rib, then folded to the inside and attached.
